Terms of service

Aura generates outfit and fragrance pairings from the context you provide. Recommendations are editorial guidance, not professional, medical or dermatological advice. Always check a fragrance for personal sensitivities and verify sizing, materials and authenticity with the retailer before purchasing.

Notes, accords, longevity and sillage estimates — including those drafted by our AI parser — are approximations for curation purposes and may differ from a brand's official listing. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance.

You must be at least 18 years old (or have authority to bind your organisation), keep your credentials confidential, and provide accurate information. You keep ownership of private content you add and grant us only the licence needed to store it, sync it to your devices and generate recommendations for you.

You must not misuse the service: no unlawful use, fraud or spam, no infringement of intellectual property, no scraping, malware, probing or other interference with security, and no attempts to bypass rate limits or entitlement checks. Aura and its software, branding and documentation remain our intellectual property.

Using the scanner requires granting your browser's camera permission. By capturing or uploading an image you confirm you have the right to do so. A scan-only frame is forwarded securely to our AI processor and is not saved by Aura; only the structured item record you confirm is saved. Photos you separately choose to save with collection items are stored with your account.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax and cancellation mechanics are therefore governed by the Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms at paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms, in addition to these terms. Paddle appears on your bank or card statement as the seller of record.

Aura Premium is offered on a monthly ($12/month) or annual ($99/year) plan. Plans are billed in advance through Paddle on the interval shown at checkout and renew automatically at the same price until cancelled. Applicable sales tax, VAT or GST is calculated and collected by Paddle at checkout.

You can cancel at any time from your account screen or through Paddle's customer portal; access continues until the end of the paid period and no further charges are taken. If a renewal payment fails, Paddle retries it and we may suspend premium features until payment succeeds. Billing questions: billing@composeaura.com.

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on Aura Premium. If you are not satisfied, request a full refund within 14 days of your order date and we will refund the payment for that billing period.

Refunds are processed by Paddle. Within the eligibility window, use Request refund in Account → Billing, email billing@composeaura.com, or reply to your Paddle receipt. If those routes are unavailable, contact support@composeaura.com. Refunds return to the original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days. Paddle's refund policy also applies, and nothing here limits statutory rights you may have.

Free accounts receive 3 AI curations per rolling 30 days. Aura Premium has no monthly curation cap and is subject to a fair-use limit of 10 AI requests per minute. Scanning and generated outputs may be inaccurate and should be verified; you are responsible for your inputs and how you use the outputs.

You choose whether to publish a pairing to the Community Lookbook. A published entry displays its title, outfit summary, fragrance name, occasion, vibe and note tags, optional caption, and curator display name. It does not display your account ID, email, or photos.

By publishing, you grant Aura a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host and publicly display that entry in the app. You may unpublish your own entry at any time. Content must be yours to share and must not infringe anyone else's rights. Report concerns to support@composeaura.com; Aura may remove content that violates these terms or applicable law.

Outbound shopping links pass through our /go redirect and may earn Aura a referral commission at no additional cost to you. For those purchases we are not the seller: pricing, availability, shipping, returns and product authenticity are the merchant's responsibility. See the Affiliate Disclosure for details.

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations. You may stop using Aura at any time.

Aura is provided "as is" and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim, and we exclude indirect or consequential losses. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

These terms and disputes relating to them are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
