Vanilla & Leather
Leather on its own can read severe. A vanilla layer rounds the edge into something closer to suede — warm, worn-in, and quietly sensual rather than sweet.
How to layer it
- 1Leather goes down first and low: wrists and the inside of the elbow.
- 2Apply vanilla sparingly at the throat so warmth rises rather than pools.
- 3Keep the ratio roughly two parts leather to one part vanilla or the accord turns gourmand.
- 4Test on skin, never on paper — leather notes read completely differently off-body.
- 5Let it rest twenty minutes before deciding whether to add more.
